The project required the gutting and renovation of 80% of the building as well as the construction of another floor. All new life safety systems, MEP systems, and support for 21st century computing and electronic device needs were provided.
Accessibility improvements that included a new elevator were also added. The kitchen and baths were upgraded and key signature areas of the house such as the library, dining room, and central open staircase were restored. The exterior façade was also restored and energy efficient windows and insulation were added.
As structural engineers, SGH is often called upon to work on complicated and challenging assignments. I was impressed with your team leadership, planning, communications and attention to detail that allowed the design and construction process to flow so smoothly.
