The full gut renovation of this storied Gramercy Park townhouse includes a new rear façade and roof, a significant wood and steel interior structural program, a new elevator, and a full MEP replacement. Historic gas lamps, a pergola, and new hardscape were also part of the renovation. Several modern interior finishes and elements were incorporated into the redesign of the residence; however, most architecturally significant elements were preserved and restored. These include the dining room’s mahogany and oak panel inserts on the ceiling and center dome, as well as a previous addition to the home by renowned Architect Stanford White.
